Creating a web push campaign is a 4 steps process. Details for each step are mentioned below.

Step 1: Creating a Draft

  1. Login to Growlytics Dashboard.

  2. Go to Campaigns > WebPush. You will see a list of all web push campaigns.

  3. Click on "Create WebPush Campaign" on the top right corner of the web push list page. You will be asked to give the name of the campaign.

  4. Enter the campaign name and click on the "Create Campaign" button.

Step 2: Provide Basic Campaign Details

The first step of the campaign is "Basic Info". Here you will need to provide general information about the campaigns like campaign name, etc.

  1. Campaign Send Time: Specify when you want to send the campaign. Use "Start Immediately" to send the campaign immediately when the campaign is published. Or use "Start Later" and provide the scheduled date and time to send the campaign messages.

  2. UTM Tracking: Specify UTM parameters to be mentioned in the links when customers will click on links inside campaign messages.

Step 3: Specify Target Audience (whom to send web push?)

In this step, you can specify to who all customers you want to send campaign messages. There are 4 options to specify whom you want to send campaign messages to.

  1. All Customers: With this option, you can send web push to all the customers.

  2. To Segment: With this option, you can send web push to customers who belong to a particular segment.

  3. To Custom Segment: Use this option if you want to target a specific set of customers without creating a segment for them.

  4. To Static List: With this option, you can send web push to customers who belong to a particular static segment.

Step 4: Specify WebPush Contents

Following details needs to be provided for WebPush contents:

  1. Title: Title of a push notification,

  2. Message: Subtitle of push notification.

  3. Notification Image URL: Image to be displayed for push notification. Recommended size: 1080px x 540px. Aspect ratio (width:height): 2:1. The actual rendering depends on screen size. JPG, JPEG, PNG formats only. GIF format also available but for iOS 10+ only. Less than 1 MB in size. URL must begin with HTTPS.

  4. Icon URL (Square Icon): Logo image of your brand. Recommended size: 192px x 192px. The actual rendering depends on screen size. JPG, JPEG, PNG formats only. Less than 1 MB in size. URL must begin with HTTPS.

  5. Click Link: URL/Page to be opened when notification clicked. Deeplink can be any URI (eg. myapp://productdetails/itemabc). URL can be HTTP or HTTPS (eg. https://www.growlytics.in)

Step 5: Review & Launch Campaign


This is the final step of publishing the campaign. You can review the details specify at each campaign step and you can launch the campaign.
